Hotel Alpin
Hotel Alpin boasts a rich tradition tied to mountain tourism and nature-centered relaxation since its founding.
Beginnings and Founder
The hotel was founded in the 1920s by entrepreneur and mountain enthusiast Jan Nowak, who noticed the growing interest in tourism in mountainous regions. Initially, it was a small guesthouse called “Maria,” offering a dozen rooms for guests seeking peace and contact with nature.
Interwar Period and Growth
In a short time, the property gained popularity among tourists and artists, leading to its expansion. In the 1930s, a new wing, a restaurant, and a viewing terrace were added. The Maria guesthouse became one of the more recognized vacation spots in the area.
Postwar Era
After WWII, the hotel was nationalized and managed by the state, serving as a holiday resort for employees of various workplaces. Though its standards declined somewhat, it still attracted guests thanks to its location.
Modernization and Today
In the 1990s, after the political changes, the guesthouse was privatized and underwent a thorough modernization. The new owners raised the service standards while preserving the building's historic character. They added a wellness area, conference rooms, and modern guest amenities. The current owners have been running the hotel since 2004.
Today
Currently, Hotel Alpin combines tradition with modernity. It caters to both individual tourists and business clients. The hotel hosts cultural events, conferences, and family gatherings. Thanks to its long history and commitment to quality, it enjoys a good reputation and remains a key spot on the region's tourist map.
